The resin and masterbatches are specifically developed for the use with still water. Most of the closures are slip agent free to ensure that no off-taste or odor will occur, and migration into the water is not possible. The overall mass balance at the resin producer allows to claim and certify to have bio-based or recycled resin as base material for the products. The surface of the closures for still mineral water offers opportunities for product branding with embossment or top print. Embossment is an elegant medium to brand a product and has no negative implication for the process like migration or contamination from other closure production processes.
